The stock EQ-350I IMCA cylinder head is a good basic cylinder head from a mechanical stand point.  From a performance standpoint, on a typical circle track car, there is a ton of room for improvement.

If you want to run in the middle of the pack, bolt on a set of these heads without improving the air flow. If you want to run upfront, “Undercover Porting” is the way to go.

Stock EQ-350I heads flow 215 cfm intake and 154 cfm exhaust. With our “Undercover Porting” the flow numbers increase to 237 intake and 175 exhaust.  This air flow improvement will typically add close to 20 horsepower to your 355 small block running a 500 Holley 2 barrel carb.

Our complete “X-Mod” cylinder heads have all the same prep work and parts as the above listed LMS-EQ-UC heads but WITHOUT OUR “UNDERCOVER PORTING”.  Yes, the heads do not have any air flow enhancement to the intake or exhaust ports.

Like all of our complete heads, these new “X-Mod” heads feature: pressure tested castings, bronze guide liners, Brzezinski valve job, spring seats machined for hardened spring locators, pushrod holes opened, chambers modified and blasted and  surfaced to your specifications.

Your “X-Mod” heads will be assembled with Isky or PAC 1 1/4 springs, REV competition series 11/32″ valves, hardened spring locators, steel retainers, machined locks, ARP rocker studs and guide plates.  Ready to bolt on to your motor.

The cost to perform our “UnderCover Porting” to a bare pair of YOUR clean, ready-to-be-worked-on EQ 350I castings is $995.00 plus shipping.  This includes the CNC machining, modifications to the intake ports, exhaust ports and combustion chambers, cover-up work, install & size bronze valve guide liners for 11/32” valves, valve seats machined to 1.94” x 1.50” or 2.02” x 1.60”.  $995.00 labor only plus shipping to YOUR bare castings. Yes, we can also modify YOUR complete 350I castings.

We pickup 10 cfm @ .200″ lift & close to 20 cfm @ .500″ with our “UnderCover Porting”. This translates into a solid 15 to 20 horsepower gain on a 355 small block running a Holley 500 2 barrel.

Measurable exhaust air flow improvements start at .200″ lift and continue to a 14 cfm gain at .500″ lift with our “UnderCover Porting”. Going to a 1.60″ valve improves the exhaust air flow even more.
