The ZZ4 Chevy Part Number 88958603 crate motor uses the valve train as the 604 crate motor. There is a lot of power to be gained in the cylinder heads and camshaft with this motor.

This engine is supplied with the same .474" intake / .510" exhaust lift camshaft as the '604 crate motor. At .450" lift the stock intake port flows just 188 cfm - that is worse then stock '492 "double hump" style heads. With "UnderCover Porting" the intake air flow is improved to a bit over 200 cfm at .450" lift. We have "Look-A-Like" intake valves, springs, retainers and locks to make this motor come alive. Special ground camshafts are also available.
